Shipping & Delivery

DELIVERY : 

Here at Femme Indian we are committed to deliver your order accurately, in good condition and always on time. FI ensures the fastest and most efficient dispatch & delivery to get your orders to you as swiftly as possible from our warehouse. 

Currently, each order may be shipped only to a single destination address. If you wish to ship products to different addresses, you shall need to place multiple orders.

We ship on all week days (Monday to Friday), excluding public holidays. 

DELIVERY CHARGES : 

Shipping Charges are based on shipping destination and package weight of the units purchased. 

  • Free shipping is available for deliveries within India only.   
  • Shipments to International destinations (i.e. deliveries Outside India) is chargeable.  All products are shipped via reputed international courier companies such as DHL, DTDC, FedEx, UPS and other such renowned companies. Our Shipping Rates are subsidized and are lower than what the shipping companies usually charge for international shipments. We always strive to offer our shoppers the lowest shipping charges possible. Please note that shipping companies determine shipping charges based on the package weight or dimensions. 

TIME OF DELIVERY:

The merchandise you have ordered would be delivered within 2-3 weeks from the date the order is placed. FI ensures the fastest and most efficient dispatch & delivery to get your orders to you as swiftly as possible from our warehouse. The goods will be delivered within 5-7 working days from the date of dispatch for all deliveries within India. Our goal is to process and ship your order within 5 - 7 business days after the order is placed however for items that are not yet in our warehouse, please allow up to 3 weeks for the item to be processed and shipped. A tracking number will be sent to you via email & SMS when your order ships. This tracking number will allow you to check on the delivery status of your order. 

SUPPORT:

Despite our best efforts and those of our courier services, certain issues could arise before the parcel is delivered. In order to guarantee you seamless service quality, Femme Indian promises to do its best to find the causes and resolve the problem in a timely manner. While we shall endeavor to ship all items in your order together, this may not always be possible due to product characteristics, or availability.

Should you not be present when our courier attempts to deliver your parcel, a card will be left for your information. A second attempt will automatically be made after 48 hour. After the second attempt, our courier will hold on to your parcel for 7 days awaiting further instructions from the recipient before returning your parcel to Femme Indian. Once the parcel has been sent back to us, you must wait until it arrives in our warehouse. We will re-dispatch it to you as per your instructions at an additional cost as may be applicable.

We are not responsible for any delay caused by any unforeseen time lags by the courier companies in delivering the parcels to the customer, or if the customer is not available at the time of delivery.

Please note that if there are any customs or duties applicable for the ordered items, it would be billed separately to the customer by the courier company at the time of delivery. The duties and taxes are not a part of the customer’s payment made to us.

In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Our website is encrypted and secured by the most reliable and trusted SSL Certificate provider. So this website is completely safe. 

We are using CCAvenue (https://www.ccavenue.com) and Paypal as our payment gateway to collect the payment on behalf of us, which is 100% safe and secure. Customer needs to enter the credit card details on CCAvenue or PayPal payment page only.  We do not store any kind of credit card details of our customers. 
Returns & Replacements

RETURN & CANCELLATION POLICY

 Cancellation Policy:

  • At Femme Indian, we understand that there could be times when you may want to cancel an order for various reasons. While we strive to make cancellations easier for you, we regret to inform that we cannot accept cancellations of all custom made or custom stitched orders as mentioned below.
  • We would be unable to accept order cancellations for custom-made item(s). This includes tailor-made item(s) such as custom-made Salwar Kameez, custom-made Saree Blouse, Lehenga Choli, etc. as well as altered item(s).
  • Items after they are shipped from our warehouse or production unit cannot be cancelled.
  • Cancellation or changes to your order has to be made within 24 hrs from submission of your order (by writing to us at fcare@femmeindian.com or call us on +91-9830719955). The cancellation will be effective within 24 hours and a confirmation email will be sent immediately. As part of usual business practice, if we receive a cancellation notice and the order has not been packaged / shipped by us, we shall cancel the order and refund the amount (post deduction of wire transfer fees) or you could instead opt to take a Credit Note/Gift Voucher which could be redeemed at a later point.
  • For cancellation or change requests that are received after 24hrs from your order submission, no refunds or changes to the order would be possible.
  • Refunds can be made into your credit / debit card. However, additional wire transfer fees would be deducted from the refund amount. The time taken for the refund to be deposited into your bank account differs for every bank. 

 Returns Policy:

Returns are accepted under the following circumstances:

  • If the product received is defective or damaged.  
  • A wrong product is shipped by us. 
  • In case of genuine fault from our side, we will refund the money including the shipping cost or we may replace the product without additional charges.

​       - If you choose an alternative product which is of a higher value, then you need to pay the difference amount.

      - If the alternative product you’ve chosen is of a lower value, then you’ll receive a Credit Note for the balance amount (which could be used during your next purchase with us). 

 How to send the returns?

  • Please send a mail with all the details to fcare@femmeindian.com for any returns within 24 hrs from the receipt of item(s). You will hear back from us within 24hrs. Please wait for a confirmation from our end authorizing the return before sending any returns and the courier service provider you could use to send the product back to us.
  • If you have any questions feel free to call us on +91-9830719955 and we shall assist you on how to have the product sent back to us.
  • As safe delivery to you is our responsibility, in the same way sending back safely to us is your responsibility. If something happens in transit and the package doesn't get delivered to us, we cannot help you. So, please make sure to send through suggested courier service provider in our return authorization mail only and forward the details to us and keep the airway bill number till the item gets delivered to us.
Please mark the items as defective returns and not for sale and declare a low nominal value to avoid unnecessary customs duty. 

Terms and Conditions:

  • Any complaint with regards to wrong product, damage or stains or stitching or any other should be reported to us within 24 hrs of the receipt of the products. We may ask for a digital picture of the same in order to review the same.
  • We would entertain the return, only if you’ve received a confirmation from our end authorizing the return.
  • We do not accept any returns after 7 days from when return authorization mail is sent.
  • Returns would not be accepted for custom made / stitched clothing, including Sarees with stitched blouse or stitched false border, Jewels. However, we would accept returns if there is any fault from our end.
  • Returned items must be unused, unworn, and in their original condition and packaging. Presence of original tags is a must to accept returns.
  • If the return is due to an error on our part (incorrect item sent, damaged/defective product), we will reimburse the invoice value as well as the shipping charge you bear to return the package (Please check with us for the courier service provider that could be used prior to shipment of the item). All returns which are not valid will not be accepted and will be sent back. You can either call us between 10am and 9pm, Monday to Saturday or write to us at fcare@femmeindian.com for any queries. You will receive an email authorizing the returns. Please bear in mind that we should receive the return package within 7 days of us sending the return authorization email.
  • Post receipt of the returned product(s), we will inspect the same. Once approved as an eligible return, we will issue your refund or merchandise credit for the appropriate amount. If however the return is found not eligible for refund, we will courier the same back to you. In either scenario, your return issue will be closed within 10 days of us receiving the return product(s) from you. 
  • We will not refund the custom duties, shipping charges, taxes, if applicable, or paid by you at time of receiving the goods.
  • At any point of time the refunds will not exceed the actual value of the goods.
  • There is an admin/credit card processing cost that will be deducted prior to refund. If refund is issued as a gift voucher there is no charge applicable.
  • For orders placed using Wire Transfer payment method refunds would be issued only as Gift Vouchers and in such cases there would not be any admin cost as mentioned above.
Shipping charges incurred to ship a damaged item or a wrongly shipped item back to us will be refunded to you (only suggested courier service provider to be used) or issued as a Gift voucher.  

Color & Description Disclaimer:

The details of the products or product specifications (for instance weight, color, handwork details, size, etc.) quoted with the product displays are only approximate values.

While every endeavor has been made to accurately reproduce colors, there may be minor variations in color of the actual product because of the nature of fabric dyes, weather at the time of dying and differences in display output due to lighting and digital photography and color settings and capabilities of monitors. A customer must place an order keeping in mind this minor variation in color as seen on a computer screen against the actual color of the outfit received.

We firmly believe that all the customers who order online are aware that colors seen on a monitor will be slightly different as compared to the actual outfits or accessories ordered. It is practically impossible for us to replicate the same colors on an outfit as seen on your monitor. A variation in the shade selected by you is considered as a normal practice as these garments have a tendency to reflect different shades of a color under different light and weather, type of camera used for photography or type and settings on the computer monitor. 

Be extra careful, while ordering on internet, consider the following facts before buying. We don't refund or exchange in these cases:

  1.  Regarding Colors- Red, maroon and orange colors have a higher tendency to reflect a different shade than other colors. For example even if you yourself try to photograph from a digital camera or scan a red garment, in most of the cases it will show either as maroon or orange on the computer monitor and vice versa. Same happens with colors like Pink, Magenta, Purple etc. Though imaging technology has advanced, still no fool proof solution to this problem is available at the moment. Similarly, off-white, green and blue shades and white and cream hues also overlap.
  2. Concerning fabrics- Fabrics like raw silk, chanderi silk, khadi silk, cotton silk, south cotton, brocade have a textured effect where we can see the weaving & threads are visible in different directions which is an inherent characteristic or feature of that fabric and proof of its authenticity. These are not defects. This raw finish is the beauty of these fabrics. 
  3. Concerning Handcrafted, hand dyed, hand printed, hand painted, hand embroidered, handloom, hand weaved products- They might have minor differences when we compare them as they are not made by machines. Each piece will be unique. Handicraft artisans always try their best to make each piece better than the previous one. So, the product will always have minor variation keeping the same theme constant in artistic manner. The raw finish of the handicrafts cannot be compared with machine finished products as this raw finish is the beauty of the handicrafts items. Even in Kalamkari fabrics you can see there are many marks of paints or uneven prints. These are not defect, these are the authenticity of original hand painted Kalamkari work.
  4. Beads & Sequins missing or coming off – Sequins and other beaded embroidery attires have a tendency to come off. Even with the best of handling and care this cannot be avoided altogether. However, we take the best care to package these items appropriately.

 Be extra alert when accepting parcel from courier agencies :

If the outer packing is damaged or tampered with, do verify the items quality and quantity with invoice before accepting the package from the courier agency. In case of any discrepancy, either refuse to accept delivery or accept delivery only after putting suitable remark on the proof of delivery. Also lodge proper complain with the local office of the courier agency so that we may pursue them and write to us or call us to inform us of the same.

  • How long does it take to deliver the items?

Typically, it takes 1 - 2 weeks to deliver your Order. Few custom made designs could take longer; we'll send you an email and let you know the exact date of shipment of your order.

 

  • Do you have a store that one could visit?

We are an online boutique; we will help you to have a safe online shopping at the comfort of your home!!!

 

  • Will the color & design be the same as on the image?

There could be slight variation in color due to digital photography or system resolution. There will be no variation in design or pattern from the image shown. Accessories shown in images are most often not part of the product. 

 

  • Do you provide stitching services?

Yes, the shipping charges are calculated on the basis of number of products (and its weight) on your order.

 

  • Can I trace the package once you ship it from India?

Yes, you would receive an Airway Bill number of the courier once it is shipped. You would be able to track it with the respective courier.

 

  • What is the Return Policy? 
We don't make refunds or exchanges, unless there is a defect in the item. We double check every piece to ensure that there is no defect in the product before shipping it to you. In rare cases of damage, you can exchange the product for some other product of your choice. In case the other product you choose has a higher value, you need to pay extra for that. Shipping charges to send the defective item back to us would be borne by us.
